2) Overview
“My Records” is an app for organizing and playing the local music library on your iPhone and iPad. The app only processes data required to provide its features. No account registration is required.
3) What data is processed
a) Data stored locally on your device
- App settings (e.g. sorting, display options)
- Choice of a favorite playlist shown at the top of the library
- Playlists created by the app and related associations, where stored by the app
- Playback-related preferences (e.g. shuffle, repeat, Follow the Song)
This data is stored locally on the device.
b) Access to your music library (MusicKit)
To display and play music, the app—after you grant permission—uses Apple-provided interfaces (MusicKit / media library APIs) to access metadata and content in your local on-device library (e.g. albums, tracks, artwork, lyrics if available). This processing occurs on your device. Library and artwork data are not transmitted to aurarum. Third-party streaming catalogs are not browsed or played.
4) External recipients / third-party services
- Apple (MusicKit / media library APIs and system services such as AirPlay): processing via Apple-provided interfaces and under Apple’s privacy practices
aurarum does not operate its own servers to transmit your music or library data in connection with this app.
5) Purpose and legal basis
Processing is carried out to provide app functionality (library overview, playback, playlists, settings).
Where GDPR applies, legal bases may include:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract / pre-contractual steps)
- Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interests in reliable app operation)
- Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent / user-enabled optional features or system permissions, where required)
6) No advertising profiling by the app
Based on current functionality, the app does not include an in-app account system or proprietary ad-tracking profiling.
7) Data retention
Locally stored data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. Retention at Apple is defined by Apple’s policies and your system settings.
8) Your rights
Where applicable, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection.
You may also withdraw consent at any time for future processing (e.g. by adjusting media library permission in iOS Settings or disabling optional features in the app).
9) Data security
Appropriate technical and organizational measures are used to protect data against loss and unauthorized access.
10) Changes
This privacy policy may be updated, for example due to new features or legal changes. The current version published by the provider/app applies.
